my wife has just informed me that she crosses her wrists, close to the spine with the fingers pointing outward to give her leverage.
The laminar groove….excellent, thanks, I'll cite that to my wife in an effort to impress her. She has been studying yoga for 12 years, now training to be a yoga teacher, and heavy into the anatomy studies right now...
I lay face down on the carpet or wood floor with my arms folded under my chest. I then take several deep breaths - inhaling and exhaling in an exaggerated fashion.
MY wife stands over me and places her hands on my back - in between my shoulder blades - on my upper back, where my ribs connect.
On my third or fourth exhalation, she gives a firm, but not hard downwared and slightly upward push.
I usually get a nice POP and release.
Yes, cracking my neck, back, toes, knuckles after s*x seems to be extra satisfying….I've had several female partners over the years that have also enjoyed this post-s*x activity.....
I have used an inversion table off and on for 20 years. I find that while it helps relieve pressure on my lower back, it had minimal effect on my upper back.
I do sometimes crack my back by do light twists but, overall, have not found it to make cracking easier or more beneficial.

Which sections of your neck crack (upper, middle, lower). How do you go about activating these cracks and which feels the best when cracked?

I can crack almost all parts of my neck. I usally relax my neck and then puse my right hand to the top part of my head and push left. Then reverse for the other side.
I also put my hand on my chin and push it back in a steady twist.
I crack my neck upon wakening in the morning - usally the right side of my neck and it really pops - usually 4-5. i then try to crack my neck 4-5 during the day
Try getting some plastic massage balls that are larger than a tennis ball. Lay them on the floor with enough room so your spine doesn't hit them.
The lower your back on them slowly and once you have them positioned on your upper back, put your hands behind your head and and pull up. Your upper back should crack quite nicely.
Like you, I crack my back, knuckles and toes regularly –-multiple times daily. Although my wife is not a crackaholic, she has found it somewhat rewarding to have me pop her upper back on occassion. Her best friend is a crackaddict and since I also like to crack other people's backs, if she doesn't ask for one, I offer.
