Post your daily jointcracking routine
-
Because mine comprises of so many involuntary cracks, I can't really post a routine other than I crack a lot after I wake in the morning.
How about you guys?
I wake up and kick twice, popping both knees, then I pop my back and waist by bending back and rotating my waist. Then I just have many involuntary cracks, and other cracking fun which last all day and into the night when I crack my toes against my bed posts while I try to sleep.

Blase_cracke - when you talk about rotating hips…
can you feel a crack both when you crack clockwise and counter - clockwise?
because when i go counter clockwise i feel nothing, but when i go clockwise i feel a massive crack!PS. another involuntary reaction - as i typed this message i felt a sort of pain in my nerve on the right side of my neck.

Both ways, I get a stronger crack when I rotate counter clockwise however. The biggest problem for me is that I feel I need to widen the circle to crack the very lower back, which annoys me in its elusiveness. I end up about falling over trying to force my hip forward enough to crack it. Back to trying to crack it!

Any ideas why I get no crack going counter-clockwise?
-
Maybe you aren't getting the right bit.

maybe - it feels a bit different when going counter clockwise

When I wake up I Pop all my neck joints, then knuckles. After that I twist my knees to pop and then my ankles.
Then my toes

do you do that every single day or do you find that on some days its slightly different?

mine is right when i sit up in bed
i have to crack everything, wrists, ankles, neck back, toes, fingers, hips, shoulders, knees, elbows
an then i lye back down, or else i wont be comfotrble -
Knuckles, then I stagger to the shower. After that, whatever goes first!
-
Are you kidding
I'd be here all day
I'd rather just crack -
Always crack my knuckles and wrists.. i mean literally 50 times a day a piece.. so thats a given.. I crack my sacrum<sp> everytime I can (4 or 5 times a day at least ) I lay down flat and crack my back on the floor at least 6 times a day.. and my girl squeeze cracks me a few times a day.. I crack my ankle about 5-7 times a day at least.. neck as often as possible.. and toes toes toes.. my groin joint.. let my legs use their natural weight to pop it

I don't have a routine per se… I just crack everything I can all day long no matter where I am or what I'm doing.
My fave to crack is my neck. Sometimes instead of the clicking or popping sound, I'll get like a grind which I love!! They aren't very frequent but they're awesome when it happens. I also like to pop the inside on my legs by kicking out my legs one at a time. I usually get a nice pop there. My husband finds it all very disturbing. I love it!

hi there, i think i also get that "grinding" feeling. is it when it seems like the bones are sort of slipping over each other?
thanks -

thanksIt's really hard to describe… it sounds like almost a million tiny tiny cracks all rolled up into one. i so wish i could see it happening through an xray or something!

First: What an incredible website!
Every day I tend to crack the following things (probably a dozen times throughout the day… it's hard to move without something being ready to crack!) and am looking for more to add to my list:
Back/spine - upper, middle, lower. There's one all the way at the top, seemingly right where my back meets my neck, that I have to do while on the floor, and is the only one that just seems totally unsafe
Neck
Jaw/ear (both sides, two distinct cracks possible)
Elbows (real cracks, not just the sort of clicking noise that you can sometimes repeatedly make with joints)
Wrists
Fingers/knuckles (3 each, I would assume). I tend to crack my fingers in one motion that does 2/3 joints on 4 fingers all at once. It's pretty glorious.
Knees
Toes (1-2 joints each?)
Foot (have no clue what I'm cracking, feels like the base of the big toe probably, but I feel it way below the actual toe)
AnklesI don't think I've managed to crack my hip yet, but am intrigued. Shoulders seem like an obvious area for expansion too...
And again, I do a lot of these probably 5-6 times each day. We'll find out if the whole arthritis thing is a myth or not in 30-40 years

I HAVE to crack my hips every day or they ache like crazy (sitting down I just lean forward and they both will crack as I lean to each side). When I get up in the morning I used to have to crack both shoulders (would hold my hands together above my head and lean backwards - this would also crack my sternum) but I broke my arm a few years ago and now the shoulders don't crack "on command" anymore. They'll NEED to crack but I can't make them do it! Drives me insane. I can still do the sternum though (same way). That's it for my daily ritual…... my shoulders are subluxable so they pop in and out of joint a lot - don't know if this is related to the need to crack or not......
Oh, forgot to add my BIG one - base of my skull. Not sure which joint it even IS. I push on the back of my head while looking forward and there is ONE large crack. It seems to be one of the higher vertebrae in the spine....... my neck will ACHE if I don't do this one..... have to do it every day.....

first off, I love this website. Its comforting to know that there are other compulsive crackers out there. Every morning when I wake up, I crack my neck by simply tilting my head to each side. I get 8-10 pops/cracks on each side.. its the most refreshing/satisfying thing ever! But I can only do it once a day, in the morning. I also crack my knuckles.. all throughout the day… nonstop. Its a really bad habit but its become such a regular and addictive thing that I honestly cant stop. Also, I have a ton of tension in my back, and on a rare occasion, ill get a couple cracks throughout my upper, middle and lower back by just lying down or getting up, but ussually when I try to do it on my own, I am unsucessful. Do you guys have any techniques for back cracking? I don't want to develop another bad habbit, but I do want to get rid of the stiffness, pain and tension in my back. Thanks for reading guyss!

both Shoulders 2 ways
back 2 places, 3 cracks
Chest/Rib Cage (push shoulders back) maybe once a day or when i've have hunched over for a long time
Elbows only right one.
fingers (each 2 ways but not thumbs?) /wrist (sometimes)
hips each one 2 ways
ankles 3 ways
toes
shin (stand on tip-toes) esp. when i wake up
oh! knees… how could i forget them? i could crack my knees every 20 mins if sitting -
The very first thing I do when I wake up, as I'm lying in bed half-awake, is to reach behind my head, grab my hair and pull my head to the right. Most of the time (but frustratingly not all the time) this results in a loud audible release from the left side of my neck, somewhere between the base of my neck and about halfway up.
I need to do this before I can function properly. The jolt of it galvanizes me from drowsiness into wakefulness. It's like flicking a switch to turn all my systems on.
