yea while i am snapping my ankle, a tendon (i think?) and a vein become very hard and tender. I can rub and push them around and it increases the satisfaction.
          its definitely an OCD thing.
I hate it. i even considered going a psychologist about it, but i feel like they won't understand.
until then, ill keep on snapping away. its a love/hate relationship

I am going to the chiropractor tomorrow, as i was told they are specialist on this problem. Im excited to hear what they have to say and what they are going to suggest.
            surgury or therapy-typed treatment

              what did the chiro say?
              Surgery for cracking ?
              that sounds extreme and unwarranted.

I cracked my ankle too, though not as much. I know what you mean about it cracking in normal activities, like walking up stairs. I believe that would eventually go away if you stopped the excessive popping. I think that by popping joints you make it easier for it to happen the next time and so on. So excessively popping a joint makes it that much easier for it to happen when you're not trying.

ahh i know how you feel!!
i just graduated from high school actually. and crack like crazy. and then walking up stairs, my ankles crack and there is nothing i can do to stop it.

it just feels like i have to and if i dont it starts to bug me.
so i dont think i can possibly ever stop 😞

The chiro really didnt know much about it.
he did some poping and moving of his own and taped my ankle a few times.
it didn't help. The cracking is still as stronge as ever.
I have done some "research" online and found that the sensation on the side of my ankle may be Tarsal Tunnel Syndrome.
My ankle is starting to feel quite weak and im beggining to get worried! Even though I know I should stop cracking it, I can't.
Ive delt with an addiction in high school, which I can honestly say was easier to kick than this.

Yeah, I've had to do it in class before. The ankle pop might be the most satisfying of all besides popping the chest/sternum

                            That type of repeating clicking
                            sounds more like a tendon
                            then cavitation
                            what I know though

There are now times after prolonged rubbing around the medial ankle that my foot goes completely numb and I can not move it for a solid 5 minutes. It completely freezes on me.
I absolutely love getting my ankle rubbed. It is the most satisfying feeling i have felt, however people are never keen to help out. The tendon moves around her the pressure of the finger, even if it is very light pressure, and it grosses a lot of people out.
Anyone else enjoy the rubbing sensation?

My ankles sometimes just crack when I walk. My mom tease me saying I'm old and sound like popcorn. lol Maybe try cranking other joints so that you aren't focused on just one? I have a bit of ocd or so the headshrink told me and I went there one day then that was it. lol ><
