I can't help but to repeat what I go thru 24/7 if you pop on a consistant basis you will wear done soft bone between your joints (cartillage) then its bone on bone rubbing which really hurts. my wrist is swollen from tendonitis and my shoulder feel like there is a knife in it. JUSTDONT DO IT SO MUCH…..PLZ

RE: Desire to pop
.@lovetocrack101:
I have the desire to crack/pop my knuckles, toes, back, shoulders, neck, ankles, wrists etc almost all the time. Its just something I look forward to. Its kind of scary…. like i love it. im obsessed. It makes me feel SO much better. The sound, the feeling. is so comforting because I know its like the one thing I'll always be able to do like an expert. And you know how once you crack it all out you ussually have to wait a while to crack again? well i dread waiting. i get sooooo eager to just crack crack crack and its the most satisfying feeling in the world to me. Im a completely normal person despite my cracking addiction. I must sound crazy but i'm just being honest. cracking joints is one of my favorite hobbies, passions, feelings everr. do any of you feel this strong about it?
If you can helpdont do it so much because I was just like you. My joints (ie shoulder, knee, back and neck would sound like low octave version of someone pulling a chicken or turkey wing apart at the joint you get a sharp warm feeling followed by a cool sensation sometimes. When sometimes the crack/pop feeling would hit you so hard it you are temp stopped in your track fr a few second because you think it feels so good but all in all your hurting your body

RE: Desire to pop
I have it in my neck, back, carpals and in my toes. i think it is a desire or maybe addiction.
I think it just depends on the severity of how much cartelidge may have deminished and or air has build up in the joint (the more airr the louder the pressure release)

RE: Pulled tendon, neck stiffness, shoulder pain, what can I do?
About 8 days ago i woke up with horrible pain in my shoulder and right arm just below my shoulder. because warnth would relieve the pain somewhat everyone says its a pulled tendon. The right side of my neck is so stiff its unbearable, self cracking does nothing to help. There is a valley you could lay your arm in at the base of my neck and it sounds like its filled with rice crispies. the shoulder muscle is stiff and hurts steady all the time and the muscle in my arm on the outside of the arm just below my shoulder hurts so bad it bring tears to my eyes and makes me sick. i got laid of and lost my insurance 12/24 and my new insurance wont kick in for another 30 days. thank g*d i have a stockpile of ibuprophen. i'm just wondering if anyone has ever had a simular experiance and can give me some advice on how to deal with this. im positive its all related to my neck somehow.
I am sorry for the pain your in and I know what it feels like to have shoulder pain so severe. Mine hurts from can't see in the morning to can't see at night. My bone feel like they are rubbing in my shoulder and it pops worst than a bag of jiffy pop popcorn.

RE: GETTING PUNCHED IN THE NECK HAS RUINED MY LIFE
iijoiuo
I am really sorry about your encounter in your earlier days. I can remember when I used to ride the school bus I would sit in the back and wait for the driver to hit a certain bumb or hill in the road on her route. So me and a bunch of other kids would do what any other kid would do back then (you got it) bounce up and down to be thrown in the air. well one day when I did that the top of my head the metal frame of the bus in full thrust as i went upward and from the base of my skull to the top of my should was a very sharp and pain CRACK! and i just stopped and grabbed the back of my neck in terror scared i broke something. ever since then my neck has never been the same so DJ that is something we have to deal with and im sorry a incident happend to you like that but in life things happend to people that are just FUBAR (F'd up beyond all recognition)

RE: Yet another newbie here…
Thanks Brian.
Hello people of JointCrackers.com I am new to this forum and I dont know if I am posting correctly but I am 35 years of age and i have to "Popping" my joint for about 25 years give or take. It started off as just a so-called fun new trick i discovered when i was a kid. I always thought that i was just double joint and it was really neat that i could do it. I would show it off to friends and family and get a big laugh for attention. It started with my toes(big toe) then fingers, shoulders and back as always with most people. then other limbs and joint started popping on their own at first (and the first time is VERY PAINFUL) but then i thought it felt good just to "relieve pressure so i thought. it got to the point to where i had to pop my joints or i was in utter pain it i didnt so i gave in and as years past it got harder and harder to pop tings like i did the first time. I i got into extremes (litterally). It go to the point to where i physically abused my joint think it better. now all i do is bend my neck to the side and it pops on its own along with my back and knee. most likely if there is a joint somewhere in my body i have popped it over 100 time in my life (easily). every once in a while if i stretch i can feel my sternum pop which im used to now but my wrist is inflammed and both my shoulders and my right elbow pops all day long everyday (without fail) by them selves and they feel like digging in my joints with a dull rusty spoon (oooouuuch). In general I feel like i am past able to be helped and a warning to all like those who tried to warn me joint popping is ok to a certain extend but too much of anything is hurtful(VERY)just dont do it so much . i already want to donate my right wrist to science for cybornetic studies…..i just need someone like me to talk to so i wont feel alone
