    • RE: Crack in my chest and trunk

      wait, sacrum is the tailbone?

when i crack my chest/sternum (the plate in the middle where your ribs meet), i do it sitting upright. i sit up tall, pull my shoulders back and down (trying to get the blades to touch in the back) which in turns opens up the chest.

i only acquired this ability in the past few months. it's a faint pop and sometimes it can ache after i crack it.

    • RE: How do i crack my elbow?

i crack my elbow by putting my arm fully extended in front of me, palm up (elbow pointing down). i try to straighten my arm as much as possible, actually hyper-extending the elbow joint a little (i.e., opposite the natural bend)

if it's ready to be cracked, i can feel the air bubble give a little resistance.. i just straighten/extend the elbow a bit more and get some cracks.

      hope that helps!

    • RE: Love to crack EVERYTHING

i crack my neck in various ways…

tensing neck muscles a bit and turning head side to side gets the easy ones
i used my hand to push my chin from side to side to get the more stubborn ones
sometimes i use hand on chin + hand on crown of my head to really twist. i fear i might break my own neck and end up on the news...

phalanges are the bessssst. my personal favorite is cracking the base of the thumb (right near the wrist). not many ppl can do it on their own but need a buddy.

lately, i'm digging the sternum crack. such a faint, delicate pop. i can usually do this by pulling both shoulders back, like i'm trying to get my shoulder blades to touch behind my back. this causes my chest to open up a bit and then.. *pop! NOTE - one of the first times i got my sternum to crack, it ended up hurting pretty badly for several minutes. never happened again, but i get worried...

    • Love to crack EVERYTHING

Fingers. Wrists. Elbows. Neck. Back. Back again. Collarbone. Sternum. Hip. Toes. Ankles. Earlobes!?

I love to CRACK IT ALL. So glad to be part of this crackhead community.

It certainly is addicting. Once I learned how to crack my collarbone and sternum, I can't stop. I don't feel right unless I hear that faint pop in the morning.

Most satisfying crack? When you can get numerous deep pops up your spine with one twist. *sigh
