    • RE: You name it, I can crack it

      I can crack:

      All of my fingers
      My thumbs
      My wrist - occasionally
My toes - mainly just the first three
My neck - I LOVE when I get a lot of crack out of it!
      My back
      My elbows - occasionally
My knees - when they've been bent for a while

I can also pop my jaw, which I don't know is a form of cracking, but it's similar. I don't do it as much, but it happens occasionally.

    • RE: Jaw

I can pop my jaw in the morning… I'm not a huge fan of it, though. I remember earlier this summer, I was swimming in my pool and I was underwater for a long time (with the snorkel). When I came up, my jaw was "locked" in place, and I kept popping it for almost an hour before it finally felt better! To be honest, I really hate when I even accidentally pop my jaw! It feels really wierd.

    • RE: How and why did you start cracking joints?

I learned how to crack in fourth grade. I was sitting next to some kid and he started cracking his knuckles. I asked him how, and he showed me. My dad would also crack my knuckles all the time when I was young (I hated it when I was real little). I started by only pulling out my first, middle and ring fingers on each hand. I would probably only do it three or four times a day. In sixth grade, the guy's brother taught me how to crack my back and my neck. Now, I crack my knuckles all the time (all fingers, except I have trouble with my pinky). I also crack my back, neck, toes, knees, elbows, and sometimes I can get my wrist to crack. I do it compulsively, and it annoys my mom! 8O I tend to feel the urge to crack whenever I see someone else do it… 🙂

    • RE: Favourite way to crack knuckles?

I prefer pushing them down. Sometimes I'll push them up, depending on what I'm doing. But pushing them down seems to really make it feel good. I used to pull all of my fingers out to crack them, and people thought I was wierd.

    • I'm The Newest Crack Addict!

Hey, I just signed up today. I mainly joined because I am OBSESSED with cracking my knuckles, a habit I've had for about six years now. I also wanted to learn how to maybe ease down on my cracking - which will never happen! 😄 So, just thought I'd introduce myself! My real name is Lauren, but you can call me whatever (Crack_Addict or Lauren). I'm 15 and a sophmore at Whitmer… That's about it.

    • RE: How many times a day?

I crack very compulsively, so I usually crack my knuckles every half hour to 45 minutes. But those are the big knuckles (you know, the ones that get really BIG after you crack them for a long time). I can crack the knuckle closer to your fingernail every ten minutes. But if I'm doing something like watching a movie, I can go the entire movie without cracking. But usually I crack at least twice every hour! 😄

    • RE: All About BACK CRACKING

I crack my back, too. Usually only in the morning and at night. It really does feel great - especially at night! I don't feel much pain after cracking my back, but sometimes it feels like there's pressure on it for a few seconds afterwards. I didn't know if that was normal or not? I still continue to crack, but I've been trying not to do it much in school (it annoys the crap out of everyone!). Anyways, does anyone know if it's normal to feel slight pressure on your back after cracking it?
