RE: Back cracking
I like to push my shoulders back and together. It's not very loud, but it's quite satisfying.

RE: How and why did you start cracking joints?
Through this site, actually. I discovered it out of curiosity then tried some of the techniques I saw. I now crack my back, neck, knuckles, thumbs, toes, backs of my hands, knees, and shoulders(very loudly).

Hand cracking
Sometime when I bend my fingers up with the middle joint bent to crack the middle joint, the back of my hand pops. It doesn't even seem to be a joint. Does anyone know how this might work?

RE: Crackable joints you're pleased you don't yet crack
I'm not sure. At one point I swore I would never crack my neck, but it's actually quite pleasant. Sternum sounds painful, but it probably isn't.

Why do people think cracking is gross?
I'm just curious, does anyone have any ideas why joint cracking is generally considered to be disgusting? It can't be the sound alone, because for me most just sound like snapping fingers.
P.S. Also, which one do you use to gross people out intentionally? I use my thumb. I have to pull it and bend it at a weird angle and then it makes a sickening little pop.

every so often my big toes start hurting and I need to twist them to make them crack.

RE: Joints that crack asymetrically
Let's see:
My neck only cracks on the right;
My right knuckles and thumb crack more often than my left;
My left shoulder is far louder than my right;
and my right toes crack better. -
Favourite way to crack knuckles?
Which way do you like to crack your knuckles most?
For me, it's when sometimes my right index finger get's kind of stiff. I stretch the ligaments for a couple seconds, then push down. The base makes a loud pop, and it hurts and feels good at the same time.
