How many joints are there?
Does anybody know exactly how many joints there are in a normal human body? (this doesn't apply to all you double and triple jointed freaks out there )

RE: Common core symptoms
I'm not sure if this is a symptom all crackers share or if it's just me but I do believe it may be a core symptom- The chronic search for new joints to crack.

RE: Hello! List of cracks
I'm also glad I'm not the only one who's addicted to cracking joints. After reading the list above, I decided to count how many joints I can crack and where they are. I always knew that I could crack a lot more joints than most people but I'd never really counted. One thing I have observed is that the body is pretty much symmetical so what can be cracked on one side of the body could potentially be cracked on the other side as well (although maybe not as easily). Here is a list of what I found:
Toes (x10)
Metatarsals (x2)
Ankles (x2)
knee caps (x2. I've heard other small phantom cracks before leading me to think there could be as many as 6 here)
Back (16. I think every vertabrae can be cracked, so there may be more)
neck (8)
jaws (2)
shoulders (2, plus 2 smaller ones hard to get to)
manubriosternum (2. although I think there might be two more but those cracking noises could just be joints in my back)
elbows (2. like the knees, I believe there could be as many as 6 and for similar reasons)
wrists(2)
fingers and thumbs (34. Three on each finger except the pinky which I've managed to crack as much as five times at a given time)If there are any that I missed. please let me know.

RE: All About BACK CRACKING
I've been able to crack my back up to 16 times (8 by twisting my back around "exorcist style" and 8 by pushing forward with a fist above the small of my back). Are there any more joints or is that it for the back?
