Top of head/skull

I was just walking home from the shops earlier when i felt a weird cracking sensation, one that i've only had very rarely.
after a slight movement of my head, i felt a weird sensation on the top of my head pushing down, like someone was sitting on my head?
Anyone else experienced this? Odd i know!

so, any ideas what it could be? it was really annoying.interestingly, i can recreate that sensation now with my neck muscles, but its just not the same as when it happened involuntarily.
